Personal Statement
My name is Madison Straight and I am a senior at Central High School in Keller, TX. My academic schedule has included Pre-AP and AP courses and I am currently taking 5 AP classes in my final year. I swim on the high school team for Ann Tracewell-Wang. During my three years, I have set 4 school records (100 Free, 500 Free, 200 IM, 200 Free) as well as 3 relay records. I have achieved All-District, All-Region and All-State at the 5A level for each year. I have been chosen as Central HS Swimmer of the Year for all three seasons and have also earned USA Scholastic All-American honors for my sophomore and junior year. Last year I earned High School All-America honors in the 200 IM and 200 Medley Relay. At the club level, I swim on the National Elite Group for Lakeside Aquatics Club in Keller and head coach Jason Walter. I recently swam at Summer Junior Nationals in the 200 IM and 400IM as well as three relays. I have always planned to swim in college and I am very much looking forward to that opportunity.
