Ever since I was 5 years old I have been competitive in swimming. However, I did not have a strong interest in the sport until my Freshman year in high school. All of my teams have taught me a limitless amount of responsibility, dedication, and maturity. One major struggle I went through was in my freshman year. I failed at least one class every report card making me ineligible to swim. Since then I have worked twice as hard academically and I am willing to keep that going. My goal in college is to be able to perform significantly in class as well as in the water. An accomplishment I have recently encountered was being apart of the relay team that broke our High School Women’s 200 Freestyle Relay on November 17th. The record was set back 2010 shortly after the school has been opened. As well as, breaking the 400 freestyle record on February 3rd. This upcoming year I will be in pals. Pals is a class where you mentor kids and you help with volunteering around the community. It is important to me to be in Pals so I can improve in being a positive role model to others. Also, being able to help those who need it.
