I aspire to be a leader and role model while competing at the collegiate level. I believe I am a good candidate as a college swimmer because I am a hard worker and am always up for a good challenge. I am very optimistic and enthusiastic and generally have a great attitude. Whether in sports or in academics, I always strive to be the best I can be and never give up. While competing at the collegiate level, I want to take up my passion in medicine, and although going on a Pre-Med track in college can be an overwhelming amount of work, I have balanced school with sports since the seventh grade and am ready to continue the challenge.
Although I have not been swimming for as long as many other candidates looking to swim at the collegiate level, the fact that I have gotten to where I am today with just 3 years of competitive swimming proves to me that I can get even better and push myself even harder.
Throughout my Sophomore year so far, I have maintained a good GPA, while also volunteering at Feed My Starving Children every month. I am currently taking pre AP courses as well as AP, and am doing well.
I have been pushing myself to balance my school life, club and high school swim, and social life for a fairly long time, and want to find the right college for me where I can push myself both inside the classroom and in the pool.
