Swimming and school for me go hand in hand. If I don't do well in school, then I have not earned the right to go to swimming. Without swimming, I would not have the great friends and experiences from the last nine years with my club and high school teams. Being successful in both has not been easy, but nobody said that it would be. A lot of sacrifice by me and my teammates, and school friends, has paid off for us so that we will be able to go off to college, not be a problem for coaches or professors, and contribute immediately wherever we go. I tend to hang out with people that stay out of trouble. My goals have been to do well in both so that I can continue onto college. In college, I will continue to swim, and work hard in the classroom. I would like to make NCAA championships, which of course benefits the swim team. In the past, I have done well individually, but relays for me has always been the most fun. Swimming is exhausting, frustrating, and sometimes really painful. So is school. The payoff is standing on the blocks knowing that you and your teammates have got this. The work, the effort, the friendship, it all pays off in the end. This is what my college dream is. Moving on to a new swim team and school where the challenges are even harder, but the payoff is much bigger. Thank you for taking the time to read this. This summer, 2018, should be exciting. I am working on dropping lots of time. This past winter I had the flu, mono, and upper and lower respiratory infections. I feel better. Keep watching this summer. Thank you.
