I have started swimming since I was five and grown to love it more and more. I love going to practice and pushing myself everyday to become the best version of myself, and being surrounded by people that help me achieve my goals. When taking on a task, I usually like to do my best with what I have, and persevere until I can accomplish my goal.
I became a breastroker when I was five, but have still been working on other strokes as well. I have been to western zones three times and made sectionals and futures time standards. Last year, I was 0.08 seconds off a state record in the 100 breast at long course age group state. On August 4, 2019, I was on KUTV news along with three of my teammates for being first in the nation for 200 medley relay, as well as getting the state record by about 7 seconds.
In 2022, my freshman year at high school state, I placed 3rd in 200 IM going a 2:10.75, which was a personal best. I placed 2nd in the 100 breast with a 1:06.25, personal best.
For academics, I have a 3.6 GPA and taking AP classes. I am also planning on taking more AP classes in the future as well.
I am looking forward to continue to improve not only in swim, but also in academics and being a better person overall.
