I picked up the sport of swimming my 8th grade year and have loved the ability to swim rec during my off season to stay dedicated, physically active and in the zone. I also take the time in the summer to teach little kids how to swim and help them love the sport also. I am a focused, driven, hard worker, and enjoy the challenge of getting a new PR when swimming, so pushing myself to be the best is what I enjoy doing. Competition is something I live for and have enjoyed it during my time swimming. I am currently in 10th grade and last year as a freshman I went to state with individual and team events. I attend swim clinics at the University of Utah and not only does this make me excited to swim for college but it has shown the coaches that I call listen to direction and make changes right away when needed. Some of the feedback I have received from them is that I adapt well, apply skills, and immediately put it into action. I also take the time to set goals with my high school coaches. We make sure they are not only challenging but attainable. Swimming is my passion, my everything, it's who I am. Sometimes I wonder how I was born a human and not a fish.
