My name is Annalise Cornett. I am a rising Senior at Trinity Christian School in Fairfax, VA and have been part of their co-ed swimming program since it first started in 2016. I have also been a member of The FISH since 2010, becoming a member of one of the senior groups under Coach Matt Pelletier in 2017. My favorite strokes are freestyle, backstroke, and IM. I have worked hard the past few years in order to continue my swimming career in college. My majors of interest include Child Development, Education, Psychology, and International Relations because I have a passion for serving others and learning about behaviors, especially in children, but I also love learning about different cultures of the world. My passion for service has led me to travel internationally and volunteer at many different churches, camps, swim clinics, and food pantries, allowing me to interact with many people different than myself. I believe learning about others different than oneself and seeing them as equals is extremely important, especially in a society where our individual voice has so much value culturally and politically, and has the power to cause immense change. Because of my aspirations of serving the community, especially through my actions, goal-setting is very important to me in all aspects of my life. Within my goals, I am process-oriented and constantly remind myself of the daily dedication it takes to achieve those goals. As I look forward to a future of excellence through and in my goals, I implement that excellence daily, with humility; you can count on me to accomplish a job well done. When I swim a best time, receive an "A" on a test, or make a child smile, I am reminded of my devotion to my goals and the process that brought me there. I hope my academic and athletic achievements attest to that dedication, but more importantly, I hope my character does. I appreciate your time and thank you for considering me to be a member on your team.
