I started swim lessons when I was very little. Considering we live in the Pacific North West, my parents thought it would be an important skill to have. My first competition was with Gold's Aquatics Club summer swim team before 1st grade. I still swim for Gold's today with several of the kids who joined the same year as myself. Having grown up together, my teammates and I are like a family. My strength is breaststroke, followed by freestyle. Swim has taught me to set goals for myself and work hard to achieve them. It’s a skill that has helped me in other parts of my life, especially school.
Right now, my academic interests include history, economics, and politics, and I hope to study law someday. I like keeping up with current technologies, and helping other students and teachers learn them, too. Finding a university that will challenge me both in the pool and in the classroom is important. I am excited to find a team that I can become a part of and grow with throughout college. I believe that with a close team to support you, you will do much better than on your own. Thank you for considering me to join your school and swim team.
