One highlight of my high school swimming career was going to state in two relays and two individual events my freshman year. At state, I learned how to stay calm under pressure and the importance of giving everything you have at every race. Last year I made state at districts. This year as a sophomore, I made state times during my first few meets. At state as a sophomore I placed in all four events. Cheney High School Girls’ Swimming placed sixth overall.
For the past nine years I have been a competitive club swimmer. I started swim team in second grade and I love the sport. I believe swimming has taught me a lot in and out of the pool.
I am planning to attend a college that fits me academically, as well as a school with a great swim program. I continue to work hard to maintain good grades and still balance my busy swim schedule. My gpa is 3.8 and I am a leader with great work ethic. I believe I can make a positive impact on your team.
