Hello! My name is Megan McCoy and I attend Stanwood High School in Stanwood, Washington. Like many athletes, sports have played a big role in my life. I started swimming in 2021, but was a competitive gymnast prior to that. I really enjoyed gymnastics, however, injuries (alongside a few other circumstantial things) led me to retire from the sport.
Since retiring from gymnastics, I have found a great community of people while swimming; people I would consider to be my closest friends, who have seen me at my best and worst. My coaches and teammates are like my family, and I wouldn’t want it any other way. My goal is to continue to meet people and make memories at the collegiate level.
Additionally, I've been swimming for two years, and I feel like there's so much I've yet to accomplish. I'm still relatively new to swimming and naturally, learn more about it each day. With that being said, there is still so much I have yet to give to this sport. I want to get better and excel beyond high school, and I will work hard to do so.
