In all aspects of my life I aspire to achieve many goals I have set for myself. I have both personal goals and swimming goals. Some of my short term goals for swimming include making it to the Summer Junior Nationals. I also am trying to improve my breaststroke speed and efficiency considering that it is my weakest of the four strokes. As I continue to swim high school and club I want to continue to swim best times, place in the top 5 at Girls High School State and also place in the top 3 in my events at club state.
Swimming is important to me but so is my education. I want to graduate high school 20th or better in my class and take a multitude of AP classes in various content areas. I also want to graduate high school with a GPA of 3.8 or higher. When I go to college, I would like to attend a school that offers me with both an excellent education and a high caliber swimming program. After I complete my college education, my career goal is to have a profession in the medical field. As of right now, I am unsure of exactly what I would like to do.
My top goal, which is also my long term goal, is to make it to the Olympic Trials. I realize that many athletes say that they want to make it to the Olympic trials, but I know that with all of my hard work and dedication toward the sport of swimming, I have the potential to make it.
Throughout my swimming career I have learned many lifelong skills such as a great work ethic, time management skills, and also the will to succeed.
