I've played tennis since I was 3 years old and started competing at 8 years old. I reached #1 in Southern California in Satellite Girls 12 and from there went on to compete in mostly Open tournaments, levels 1-5. I'm currently playing girls 16 and have a ranking of 180 in Southern California. Having played tennis from such a young age, i've learned so much about the game and about my own game. Tennis has taught me to never give up, it's taught me that every single point matters. It has taught me to keep on fighting and to always put my 100% into everything I do. In addition, I've been on the Varsity tennis team for 3 years now and it showed me a new way of tennis. I use to play for myself but with the team I learned that each game is crucial for the team. My freshman year, the team was co-champs for metro league and my sophomore and junior year we were league champs for metro league. Individually I've qualified for CIF and played all 3 years i've been on the team. My first two years I made the decision to play doubles but my junior year I played singles. Without all the experiences that tennis has allowed me to have I wouldn't be the person I am today.
