Being a student athlete has been the highlight of my high school career. Tennis has helped me learn to balance the demands of year-round athletic training with academic success while enjoying the camaraderie of playing for and with my teammates. I began my journey into the world of tennis at the age of seven. However, becoming a member of my high school tennis team has taken my tennis to a whole new level.
During high school, I have won several athletic awards. Both my sophomore and junior years, I have placed second in league for singles and been chosen team MVP. In November of 2018, the LA Times Daily Pilot selected me as their female athlete of the week. Academically, I have maintained a 4.0 grade point average and received the Academic Booster Club award for Geometry and AP English. I want to continue to grow my love for tennis in college as well. It is my dream to become a collegiate athlete at a college that is the right fit for me. Although I am still exploring options for my major, I am looking for a school with a robust academic program and a strong women’s tennis team where I can become a committed and fully contributing member.
