Making it to the CIF D1 finals last year was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had with my tennis team. I held my serve to clinch the California Southern Section Championship Title. I hope to continue that success playing at a college level.
Along with playing tennis year around and finishing my junior year with a 3.5 GPA, I also spent my time volunteering at a charity called Aceing Autism where we teach tennis to kids with special needs.
I was introduced to tennis at the age of 5 by my dad, who was a college player, and I immediately fell in love with the sport. At age 10 my competitive spirit wanted more. Soon after I began playing in tournaments and ended up winning my first tournament. I was hooked. I won my first 16s singles and doubles tournaments at age 14 and another 16s doubles at age 16.
In my Freshman year at Corona del Mar High School I made junior varsity and although I was their number one singles player, quite honestly I was very disappointed. Through hard work and determination I entered my Sophomore year on the varsity team. I continued to play varsity doubles through my Junior year and I plan on finishing my high school tennis career there as a Senior.
I love playing tennis and want to have a successful career competing in college while at the same time expanding my knowledge at a higher level of education.
