My name is Liz van der Torre and I’ve been playing tennis for three years now. I played number four doubles my freshman and had a pretty great season. My partner and I took 2nd at regionals and made it to the semi-finals at state. My sophomore year I played number 2 doubles, had an undefeated league season, and took 2nd at regionals. During my junior year I played number two singles. This was a great season for me as I had an undefeated league season and took 1st place at regionals. I have qualified for state all three years now and have done very well. I have also received First Team All State each year. My goal for my senior season is to win state, it has always been a dream of mine. Looking at the bigger picture, I would love to further my athletic and academic career in 2019 at the collegiate level. I am a very goal oriented person and my commitment and love for this sport will continue to grow as I will play at the next level. I have maintained a 3.8 GPA all three years of high school so far and currently have a 4.5 GPA this semester. Throughout college, I will not only be focused on my academics and maintaining my GPA, but I will be working hard on the court and perfecting my skills. I can not wait to see where this next chapter takes me!
