I have been playing tennis since fifth grade and I have a huge love for the sport. I always wished to play tennis in college because it is what I love to do and it relieves my stress. When I am playing, I focus on the ball and try to not pay attention to any distractions off the court. I also have control over my emotions and I do not get down on myself easily. My coach told me once to just focus on the ball and once it goes over the net, to not dwell on the outcome and focus on the next ball coming. I take this advice with me in every match I play and it helps considerably. However when I do get down on myself, I try my hardest to control myself and my mind back on track. I believe I could really benefit from playing tennis in college and wherever I end up going, I can bring good things to the team and school.
