Personal Statement
I started playing tennis when I was 10 years old. The first time I stepped on the court, I knew this was the sport for me. Since then, I have aspired to play at the collegiate level, and hopefully at the professional level. I am ambitious and also hope to be ranked in the top ten nationally by the time I am eighteen.
I am very athletic, fast on my feet and have good instincts. My powerful forehand, controlled serve and soft touch are my biggest weapons on the court. I have a positive attitude and I am a quick learner who is ready to listen and learn. I am a smart player. When I see an opportunity on the court, I take it. I strategically plan out my points from the beginning of the play to set myself up to win.
My strong work ethic is carried on and off the court. In school, I have developed great study and learning skills that have led me to be academically successful. I always put forth my greatest effort in school and in tennis, which is sometimes absent from many athletes. My ambition, dedication, and perseverance are what makes me different. I strive to be the best. I am ready to put in the work and dedication so that I will be the best.
