My love of the game, competitiveness and work ethic make me an ideal candidate for any tennis program. Prior to high school, I played academy tennis for the Kersey-Raush Academy located on St Simons Island, GA. This gave me the opportunity to travel and participate in numerous USTA Junior events and become a ranked junior sectional player. Beginning as a freshman, I have been a varsity starter and high achiever in a large 6A high school tennis program located in south eastern coastal Georgia. As a freshman doubles player, I started in 100% of the varsity matches. Individually, my partner and I didn't lose a match until the state tournament that year. Moving from doubles to singles in my sophomore year, I played in the number three and number one singles positions respectively, and helped lead the team to 2 consecutive conference titles, plus other invitational and post season tournament successes. Each year I have had the privilege to be named to my section’s All-Region Team. I believe I have the skill set and dedication to play tennis at the colligate level. Much of my potential remains untapped due to the Covid-19 restrictions placed on practice and competition. I hope to find a school and coach who will help me find my true potential.
UPDATE
On January 24th, at tennis practice, I suffered a devastating ACL injury, that will prevent me from competing in my senior year season. After consulting with two separate orthopedic surgeons, it has been determined that my torn ACL will require laparoscopic surgery to repair. I have no words to describe my disappointment. After my surgery and rehab, it is my intent to return to competitive tennis. I am now more determined then ever to play and contribute to collegiate tennis team.
