My name is Mckenna Snider, I will graduate in 2025 and sports have always been a big part of my life. I have been a competitive dancer and a summer league swimmer since I was young. I also started cross country and track in 4th grade and have been able to continue that experience through high school. I will always be grateful for the incredible experiences and friends that I have gained from these sports. My sports have also taught me so many things about life in general; they have helped me to have a strong work ethic, to be consistent with my training, and to not give up when things get hard. However, the sport that has stuck with me the most and has been my favorite for a long time is tennis. I started playing when I was 5 years old and have loved growing and learning with the sport. I especially enjoy learning about tennis strategies and different skills that I can use to improve my game. I have learned many things from my tennis career, especially as a dual-sport athlete, with both tennis and cross-country seasons in the fall. During those 3 months every year, I learn how to prioritize my sport, health, and school work. I also prove to myself that I can do hard things and that I can thrive under pressure. I wish to continue my athletic career as a college tennis player to learn new life lessons and create experiences I will remember for a lifetime.
