Personal Statement
I have been playing tennis since the age of five, but only started competing seriously at age twelve when I realized how much I enjoy the game of tennis. My school team has won multiple matches and school leagues and I have also done quite well at national tournaments.
I have, however, had my fair share of losses and disappointments, which, in hindsight, was probably a much needed, but very hard, learning curve.
Tennis has made me a better person overall. I have learned that I am a hard worker and a good student. Tennis has helped me trust myself more, and I know how to handle the stress of sport coupled with academic pressure and demands.
I am also taking part in athletic items, namely shot-putt and discus and have managed to balance all the demands.
I am scrupulously honest and very loyal.
I am sure I would be an asset to any college team as well as maintaining my academics.
I would love to see how far I can take my tennis and I am willing to give it everything.
I expect a lot from myself and am always up for a challenge. I think moving across the globe to enjoy playing tennis, meeting people from all over the world and having new experiences is a wonderful opportunity and challenge to be enjoyed and savored. It would be an opportunity I would love to experience.
