Personal Statement
Hello, my name is Isabella Sebits, and I am a 4A State Tennis Singles Champion. I won State in 2020 as a Sophomore. Unfortunately, due to an injury, I was not able to defend my state title my junior year. Fortunately, I am now cleared by my doctor to play tennis, and he is confident I won't have any more problems with this injury. I am now back to the USTA circuit and winning tournaments again. I am working hard every day training on the court with a personal coach, the former Wichita State University Women's Tennis Coach (Rex Coad), and I am building strength in the gym. Although I started tennis when I was just five, I started training seriously about five years ago. I love everything about tennis: the strategy of the game, the competition, figuring out how to win the match, and being part of a team. That is why I would love the opportunity to play in college. I take my academic career as seriously as I do my tennis game. I have taken nearly all Honors Classes, and currently have a 3.8 GPA. I am interested in studying accounting. I would love to find a school that has a good accounting program and also a great tennis team of which I could be a contributing member.
