I have played tennis since I could participate in our school's summer programs. My mom would always buy me little outfits. I would also have my visor on that had my name written on the top so my coaches would know my name. And I like to think that it helped me in the long run. It got my name out there, then all i needed to do was attach a good athlete to it. That is what I have been trying to do ever since.
I have been on Varsity ever since freshman year. I played 4th doubles my first year then shot right up to 1st doubles my sophomore and junior year and I believe I will be playing the same this year. I love doubles with a passion. It makes the sport less boring and gives you the chance to work with a partner and have more difficulty trying not to get hit with the opponents ball while also trying to hit them as well. The excitement of the fast pace is always exhilarating. I am always pushing myself to do better. I have been hitting with the boys at their practices so far this year and my team will go through winter hitting indoors now. 2 years ago, my sophomore year, was the first time my school's girls tennis team had went to states. Last year, we ended up going right back again. We are a hard working team that keeps are goals high.
I am easily coachable and am always wanting to be better and learn more. I hope being apart of a college team will help better me and help complete my goal.
