Personal Statement
My name is Lauren Layman and I go to Otsego High School. I have always loved tennis, I started playing when I was pretty young. As I grow older the love I have for tennis becomes stronger. My Freshman year I played three singles and now as a Sophomore I became first singles. I had a touch season but knowing I can only get stronger from every tough match is way worth it. I love to be challeged and every time I step on the court I’m determined to get better and stronger. In the winter I train and hit at West Hills, throughout the summer I do cross-fit workouts and also do privates with my coach. My biggest strength on the court is how fast I move around the court. Footwork is one of the key factors in being a successful player. You always need to be ready for whatever shot the opponent gives you. My hope is I can continue playing the sport I love throughout my college career.
