Taite Drews-JonesPersonal Statement
I have been playing tennis since I was eight years old. It has been a dream of mine to play college level tennis. I am excited to embark on this journey that will be a life changing experience.
I am a hard worker on and off the court. I participate in PSEO program at my high school which allows me to take college courses at my local community college. This allows me to receive dual credits for high school as well as college. I work to maintain a high GPA and keep a balance between school and tennis.
My strengths in my game are my forehand and my footwork. I may be small in stature, but I make up for it in my speed and power. I am mainly a singles player, but have played in plenty of doubles tournaments.
Being from the Midwest, I am open to schools across the country and look forward to speaking to coaches from coast to coast.

Training
- I currently train 7 days per week. Whether it be with my dad or the team at Lifetime. My current routine consists of a morning workout of strength training with plyometrics, speed ladder, jacobs ladder, agility training. Some light hitting with my dad.

- This past year has been the most intense training. My dad has put together and excellent strength training program for me. It has helped with my footwork and my conditioning immensely. I am writing on behalf of Taite Drews-Jones. I have had the pleasure of coaching Taite for the last 5 years. During that time, she has grown into an elite tennis player and exceptional young woman. Her maturity has grown along with her tennis game and now she finds herself as an upperclassman with a top-20 ranking in the Northern Section. Taite is very talented and loves the sport. Her passion comes through in their effort and intensity on the court, but also in her willingness to listen to coaches in order to improve her game. Taite is also a well-rounded person. Her ability to excel on the tennis court - while maintaining an “A” average in school and holding down a part-time job - speaks to her discipline and dedication to success. She has a strong drive to succeed. She is also a vivacious girl and a key part in a great group of peers that have climbed the rakings and trained together at my club.
