Anastasiia Gubanova '20 Recruiting Profile

I started to play tennis at the age of 10 and ever since I have been incredibly passionate about the game. When it is a bad day at school, going to a practice lets me forget all the bad things that happened, a bad grade or me feeling sick. I look forward to playing at college level, to compete and be in the heart of the game. I look forward to meeting new people as well. The highlight of my high school tennis career was finishing 6th at the New York State championships at NYSPHSAA. It really taught me how much hard work is involved in order to achieve something great that makes you a person you are. As a junior, I fell in love with the idea of competition, constant practices and passion. I cannot wait to continue my career as a college athelete.
