Personal Statement
With both of my parents having past recreational tennis experience and my aunt having professional experience, I began tennis my freshman year of high school with enthusiasm for the season ahead. Ever since, I have budded and grown into a well-rounded, hardworking player.
I am a self-driven student and athlete with a passion for tennis. I will work as hard as I have to in order to improve and get better in any way possible. My main focus is school and my education, but I also put much time and effort into tennis through my school's team and private lessons during the off-season. I can lead the team when we are lacking a strong figure in control, while bringing everyone together to have fun and enjoy ourselves on the court.
Besides school and tennis, I actively volunteer with multiple clubs at my school including Unified Champions, Relay for Life, and National Honors Society, while acting as President of Key Club. I help with many local events in my community such as pet adoption agencies, nursing homes, and festivals held at elementary schools, as well as students at my school with Special Needs.
I challenge myself with rigorous AP, honors, and community college classes. I plan to continue to push myself in college, both on and off the court. I am open to a variety of colleges, with my main goal being a fruitful education and lasting memories from playing the sport that I love.
