Personal Statement
My goals are to perform in a college band, be a college tennis athlete, and become an optometrist. I believe I will be a good candidate for any college team because I work extremely hard for everything I set my mind to. I may not be the best, but I promise that I will work the hardest to improve in my skills and abilities to contribute to the team.
I am different in many aspects, compared to the average person. My school, Skiatook High School, isn't well-known for tennis and it hasn't gotten many achievements. However, our team is all about giving 100% effort. As a team, we do our absolute best to improve each other and always to be encouraging. These qualities are a part of who I am. I also believe I am different because I never give up. I only lose if it is to a player or musician who earned it based on their skills. I refuse to be less than what I am and can be. I will do whatever it takes to be better than I was the day before.
Academic wise, I am the same way as I am with sports. I always want to maintain good grades and strive to be the best I can be. Although, I am very competitive in sports and not so much with grades. I care about both equally, and I think that is what makes me a great student-athlete.
