I have been playing tennis since the age of five and have worked hard ever since. I spend as much time on the court as I can whether it is 100 plus degrees, below 0 or raining. I train myself in the harsh weathers that southern Utah can offer; knowing that it only makes me a better player. As a freshman in 2015 I was told that I wouldn’t be allowed to try out for a varsity position, but being determined I talked my coach into letting me try out. I made it to state after placing third in regions. In 2016, as a sophomore, I placed second in regions and once again went to state. Now as a junior, making it to state for the third time and taking third at regions, I am more determined than ever to get back on the court. Knowing that I went to state playing as a 2A school (freshman and sophomore year) then going to state again playing as a 3A school, gives me the drive to play as often as I can to become the best I can. I spend hours on the court perfecting the techniques that I have been taught and learned all by myself. I aspire to become the best player I can be, and I am looking for a coach and school who will help me achieve my goal. I was once told that if I truly loved something I would put my time, effort, heart, and soul into it, which I have done. I have a true love for this sport and would love nothing more than to play at a college level.
