Dear Coaches-
I am going to be majoring in Biology. I would love the opportunity to play tennis in college. I have always worked hard in school and have a 3.978 GPA. I have been playing in tennis tournaments since I was 12 years olds. I was #1 player at Grantsville High School for three years. I got to be number one by working hard all year round. For me there is no off season. Currently I am playing in an adult league in Salt Lake City. I am the type of player that doesn't complain. I am adaptable. I am coachable. I am a peacemaker. I set a good example for the rest of team.
At the end of my sophomore season of tennis. I suffered an injury to my right wrist. I had to have surgery and was not able to play tennis for 7 months. I had to work my way back to the #1 spot. It was a lot of work. It was frustrating not being able to hit the way I had before the injury. It took time and lots of patience. That injury taught me a lot about not giving up. I know that if given the chance I would benefit any college team.
