Personal Statement

I enjoy playing tennis and have been playing competitively since I was eleven years old. My dad played at a collegiate level and has been coaching me. I was the starting pitcher on a competitive softball team that was ranked as one of the top teams in Utah for 2016, but have transitioned into a single sport athlete so I can focus on reaching my full potential.  My TRN ranking has consistently climbed by around 150 spots every year and is currently at 175.  By my senior year I should definitely be in the top 100 nationally.  The reason I am climbing every year is because I love to train and work hard.  I am really striving to be the best player I can be and hopefully take my tennis to the highest level possible.

I love to travel, and I have traveled to Japan many times. I have also traveled to South Carolina to practice at a tennis school on Hilton Head Island.

I enjoy studying and take my education very seriously. I am very self motivated and strive to get ahead by working harder than other people.  Here are a couple of links to articles written about me regarding my tennis:

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
