Running has been a significant part of my life since 7th grade, and I have truly fallen in love with the sport. I love the competitiveness and the grit, as well as the satisfaction and sense of accomplishment you feel when you break a personal record. The times when the sport gets tough and brutal are incomparable to the joy and satisfaction it brings. I wish to continue running in college because I want to accomplish more goals and challenge myself to go beyond what I think I can do. I want to compete against other athletes, as well as myself. I want to push myself to give my absolute all and defy my limits.
One of the most significant things that Cross Country and Track has given me is the relationships through teammates and coaches. In college, I want to create more relationships, through new teammates and coaches because I truly love being a part of a team.
I believe that I would be a good contribution to a college team because of my passion, drive, and heart for the sport. I believe that I would thrive in the pressures of collegiate competition, and that I would be able to bring my team points. I believe that I would be an encouraging and dependable teammate, pushing my them to strive for their best and braving the hard moments with them.
I run because running is where I see God most clearly, and that is what ultimately pushes me everyday.
All my running is to Him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think.
