Watching my brother play sports until I was 3 years old, I then demanded to be put on a YMCA team. I've been playing sports ever since. In high school I joined cross country, basketball and track. My first season of cross country was last year and it taught me how hard I can push myself. I've been playing basketball for as long as I can remember. When my family moved to Arizona, I changed teams, teaching me how to communicate with and lead the people around me. I was awarded an All-State Honorable Mention and have been a varsity starter for the past two years.
Track has also been an extraordinary opportunity to develop individually. My first year I was introduced to throwing and loved it. My second year, javelin was introduced to Arizona High School Track and I was given the chance to throw. Excitingly I qualified for State my first year in javelin. This last year, I was determined to improve and challenge myself from the previous season. With hard work and support from everyone around me I had some remarkable results. At the Al Nelson Invitational, I took first in all three throwing events earning a triple crown. I qualified for State in shot put, discus, and javelin. Threw a personal record, achieving the javelin State Champ Title.
