Quimora Medley '24 Recruiting Profile

Hi, my name is Quimora Medley i'm 16 yrs old I have 5 siblings, I live with my 2 uncles and my two cousins. I come from a big family full of dreams. My goals for college is big and I want to achieve them as much as I can. I got inspired by my cousins, they worked very hard to go to college and to follow their dreams and seeing them everyday working hard for their goal made me want to do better just like them. I consider myself a good canidate because everyone gets along with me. I get a long with people very well like very fast, I'm a shy person at first, I stay to myself and I focus on what is in front of me. My personality is a big part of who I am. I'm funny, goofy,nice,I love god,and a good listern for people that just want to talk. I'm also family oriented, I love heling people in need, I go out and help the homless at shelters or give them goody bags for the holidays. I'm different because I had to grow up at a very young age, I've witness things that kids shouldn't have witness at a young age, my family doesn't come from a lot so I know the struggle.I know how life works and I know what mindset I need for life, I also put all my focus on my sports before having fun I love to stay and pratice as much as I can because it's my peace its like therapy. Academic wise I tend to do a good job, I get the grades I need, Sometimes I slack due to stress of just a bad day, but I also find my way back and I get on track. I'm not going to lie, this junior year really got to me hard, I was in this dark space and it was mentaly draining, I tried to get back thru god but I felt like nothing can work, I felt along and by myself. I missed my cousin a lot as she left for college and I didn't know how to cope so my school academic went down very bad, and reliasing that I needed to focus and do better for not only me but my family, my mindset had to change and that what I am working on now.
