Hello, my name is Manju Krishan and I am currently a sophomore in high school.Ever since I was five years old I have been involved in sports. I started playing soccer for the recreational team at the age of five and I continued to play my freshman year on the JV soccer team. At the same time I was involved in Martial Arts, Karate and worked for six years to officially earn my 1st Degree Black Belt. When I got into high school I knew that I wanted to be on the track and field team. During my Freshmen season I knew that lacking wasn't an option and so I worked harder and harder. I have achieved so much and that is why I want to take part in Track during college. College track will give me the opportunity to grow as an individual. I am determineted to do well in these last two years of high school to earn a time of 62 seconds or lower. Unfortunately I tore my ACL in October of 2013 so, I did not compete in Track and Field my sophomore year ( Spring2014). I am going to make this injury as a stepping stone to only make my self work harder and accomplish more within Track. As involved as I have been throughout sports I learned that there aren't any excuses to not play your full potential. Throughout the years I have developed myself to never being afraid of speaking
