Personal Statement:
Hello, my name is Kaitlyn Carmichael of the class of 2024, an elite multi-sport athlete with a 3 mile time of 17:16 and 3.9 GPA. I am an active member of my community striving to make the world around me a better place. Sports have always been a big part of my life. Competing at a high level in Track and Field, Cross Country, and Soccer while maintaining focus on academics, family, and community has taught me balance and perspective. I continuously set goals and push myself to expand my potential. I am pursuing a variety of advanced placement coursework and hold myself to a high academic standard.
I have shared below some accomplishments that I am proud of most:
I am president of the Irvine chapter of the National Charity League, class of 2024.
I qualified for CIF Track and Field Finals in both my Freshman and Sophomore years.
1600 meter PR: 5:03
800 meter PR: 2:21
I anchor the 400 meter relay team
Cross Country, 3 mile PR: 17:16
Placed 2nd at the 2021 Clovis Cross Country Invitational
Placed 1st at the 2021 Woodbridge Cross Country Classic
Varsity soccer; went to the 2nd round of CIF during the 2022 season.
I am passionate about giving back to my community and doing all I can to make the world a better place. I am the class president of the National Charity League, a leading charitable non-profit addressing food insecurity and educational opportunity. I am excited about the next chapter of my life, contributing to a university community. I hope to continue my athletic and academic career at a top university and I welcome communications from coaches and staff that feel we may be a match.
