Daisy Perez '16 Recruiting Profile

I have been running for 5 years now. Coming from a background of just doing field events running was never on my list to continue to pursue for the rest of my life. Once I started running I knew that this is what I wanted to do. I know that I have the potential to run at the collegiate level so participating in collegiate sports would be an amazing opportunity that could change my life.

I am dedicated and committed and I train all year round. I am very skillful in many forms of training, from crossfit to weightlifting to running distances like 400m to half-marathons. I have the desire and the motivation to keep improving. I am coachable and I understand the commitment it takes to be here at the top. I am willing to prove that I am the hardest working most dedicated recruits you'll find.

I study just as hard as I train. Grades are not a problem because I study hard to maintain a high GPA. I volunteer my time at children fairs and community events. I am in many extracurricular activities at school such as pep band, Marching band, Jazz band, CSF, FFA, Book Club and Key Club.

Going to college will be the next level in my life where I can improve my academic skills as well as on the track. I am leaving all my options open to ultimately find the right school and competition. With this I hope to be a inspiration to all my peer and family memeber who have supported me with my greatest accomplishment.
