Nicole Colonna '15 Recruiting Profile

I have played competitive sports my entire life and want to pursue opportunities to run at the highest possible level in college.  While I have competed in many sports like basketball and lacrosse, and excelled in others like soccer - having been a starter on a top-10 club team in northern California - my passion is running.  I enjoy every aspect of running, from speed workouts and long-run days to track meets and cross country competitions.  Even though I have received league honors in each of my track and cross country seasons, and my high school's Female Athlete of the Year Award my freshman year, there is nothing that compares to the thrill I get when I step to the starting line.  

This year, I achieved many of my goals, including finishing first in the section (CCS) and 8th in the division 5 California Cross Country Championship.  I am looking forward to a successful track season with goals to improve on my 800M and 1600M PR's.  My goals for college are to get a great education, to push myself as hard as I can on the track, and to be an integral part of a successful team.  I look forward to getting a chance to talk with you about the opportunity to compete and succeed at your college.
