Hi, my name is Marissa Doria.
Currently, I am a junior with a 3.8 cumulative GPA and attends Paloma Valley High School in Menifee, California. Since my freshman year, I have been running for my high school's varsity cross country and track team. I am a determined and focused hard worker who sets goals, achieves those goals, and creates new ones to ensure that I push myself to be the best I can be for myself and my team. Not only do I push myself to be the best I can be, but I encourage and help my teammates to reach their full potential as well. Every day I live by one of my favorite quotes from Steve Prefontaine which is, "To give anything less than your best is to sacrifice the gift." Running has taught me how to be dedicated to anything I do, so whether it is on the track or in the classroom I will give nothing less than my 110%.
After high school, I would like to attend a college where I am able to show my dedication for running and my academics. I am interested in pursuing a career involving the medical field and am open to the idea of attending an out of state college to achieve my goals.

Yes. Currently as a junior, I am taking two Honors classes: Honors Anatomy and Honors Spanish III.Are you in AP/IB classes?
Yes. As a sophomore, I was taking AP Calculus AB and passed the first semester with an A. My peers were taking Algebra 2 or Geometry. I was also taking AP European History which I passed with an A first semester as well. As a junior, I am now taking three AP classes (AP Calculus BC, AP Language and Composition , AP US History).Awards and Activities

- ActivitiesAnnually during Thanksgiving and Christmas break, I spend half of the holiday doing community service. Two years ago, I handed out presents on Christmas day to other kids whose family could not afford gifts for that year.
