My name is Taylor Saline and I am a future 2014 graduate. I am a high jumper from Orange County California. My work ethic and self-discipline have led to both athletic and academic success. In 2012 I increased my PR by 11 inches within one track season resulting in a PR of 5’7”. I achieved this while competing at CIF Finals, making me the 2012 Southern Section CIF High Jump Champion. That same year I continued onto the California State Championship as a sophomore and placed 9th overall. My other athletic achievements include being a member of the All-County Team in both 2012 and 2013, being the Orange County Champion in 2013, earning a Trinity League Championship in 2013, and having the honor of being the overall Track and Field MVP on my team in 2013. In 2014 I am working hard to achieve my short term goal of 5’10” and winning the State Championship while striving to reach my long term goal of jumping over 6’2”. I am determined to succeed and I am willing to devote myself fully in order to reach my full potential. Equally important to me are my academics; I currently have a 4.2 cumulative GPA and will continue to challenge myself by taking multiple AP and honors classes my senior year.
I am looking for a college that offers a high level of competition in the classroom and on the track because competition motivates me to work that much harder. In regards to my future track and field team, I am searching for a program that will push me so I can realize my full potential. I believe that I have just scratched the surface on what I can achieve in my sport. In addition to improving in high jump, I am also eager to be a member of an excellent team that I can support and encourage. I sincerely thank you for taking the time to learn about me.
