Personal Statement

My dreams, goals, and aspirations are to go to a premier college where I can achieve academic success while participating on a highly respected track and field team. I aspire to balance academics, track and a social life and to excel in each area. I am confident I can be successful in all my endeavors and I have a clear understanding of the hard work and sacrifices required to make to make that dream a reality. My goals in life are to graduate from high school with good grades and to leave a legacy at my school and in my community that people can look up to as a role model. My aspirations are to major in athletic/exercise science and/or kinesiology and business.

I am a leader on the Track and Field team serving as Captain of the Sprint Team. I have been recognized as an All-League athlete for my Freshman, Sophomore and Junior years in school and lead the team in points as we captured the Delta River League Championship in 2012, 2013 and 2014. I am the anchor leg in both our 4 x 100 and 4 x 400 relay teams and contributed to the 4 x 400 relay team capturing a 3rd place finish at the 2014 CIF State Championship Meet which also ranked us 8th in the nation.

I am an elected officer at my school.  I served as the Freshman and Junior Class Spirit Coordinator and currently serve as the Senior Class Spirit Coordinator.  In this position, I am part of the Leadership Team at St Francis High School.   I also serve as Teen President of the Sacramento Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc.  In this capacity I lead a group of Sacramento area teens through leadership, community service  and social activities for program year.  I previously served as Teen Secretary for the Chapter.

In addition to my extracurricular activities, I continue to maintain a 3.33 GPA in my academic studies at a private college preparatory school.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
