Sierra Adams '21 Recruiting Profile

I was a competitive gymnast for 8 years before I joined the San Clemente High School Track and Field team as a Freshman. The years of conditioning, training and competing in gymnastics allowed me to make a smooth transition to a new challenging sport. In my first year competing as a High School Freshman in Pole Vault I broke the girls Freshman record jumping 10ft and placed 1st in League Championships. During my Sophomore year I broke the all time school record in girl's pole vault jumping 11ft and placed 1st in the 2019 Frosh Orange Country Championships. I am passionate about continuing to train year round to improve my pole vaulting skills so I can meet my goal of  increasing my height during my Senior year of High School. I recently improved my PR to 11ft 1in at the Triton Invitational on 4/24/2021 and hold the girl's SCHS record in Pole Vault. I like to challenge myself and excel in competitive environments, I also enjoy being part of my  High School pole vaulting team and encouraging my team members during practice sessions and at meets. I plan to study Health Sciences during college and look forward to joining a college Track and Field team where I can compete at a higher level and contribute to the overall success of the program.
