When I started running at the beginning of my high school experience I had no idea how much it would affect me and my future goals. I have fallen in love with the sport and am looking to participate in it in some way in my future whether that be continuing to compete for most of my life, or pursuing a sports related career. I have participated in many events including jumping events, sprints, mid distance, distance, and hurdles, but plan to focus on the 400m and the 800m until I graduate high school. Because of my versatility I am open to competing in heptathlons or expanding my abilities in other events. I am a very hard worker, a driven athlete, and a very competitive person which is what has allowed me to advance both academically and athletically throughout my high school experience. I have become a leader to the entire distance team at my high school and strive every day to encourage them to work hard not only within the sport but in their academic and personal lives as well. I look forward to having an exciting college experience that will drive me towards my future and help me build strong relationships.
