My name is Jalen Jordan, I am currently going into my senior year at William J. Palmer High School in Colorado Springs, CO. At a young age I was convinced that track and field was my sport. When I first started running for Speed Track and Field I knew that there was nothing more I wanted to accomplish than to run at the highest level of Track and Field. Not only am I competitive on the track, but also in the classroom. I believe that there is nothing wrong with asking that one extra question, or asking for help in a subject I do not understand.
I tore my ACL in February of 2014 and had knee surgery. Missing my whole sophomore high school track season, and also club season. During this time I understood how much running really meant to me. Throughout my rehab process my PT would ask me if it was tried, I would always respond no. I knew at that moment if I said I was tried I would stop working for my common goal and that was to get back on the track.
My hardwork and true dedication is what sets me apart from very many athletes my age. When I have my mind set to something I will stop at nothing to each my goal. I see how hard my parents work, and I will stop at nothing to give back what they gave to me.
