Personal Statement
Hello, My name is Janet Olaleye. I am as of right now, a rising Junior. I play both track and Volleyball; Varsity for track and Junior Varsity for Volleyball. I hope to get a sport scholarship so, I can go to college and get a degree in anesthesiology. As I happen to have a love for the environment and animals, I hope to save up money as an anesthesiologist so, when I retire I can open up my own animal sanctuary.
Now that you know about my aspirations and dreams you're probably wondering, what makes me so special. Well let me start with the fact that, I happen to be a 14 Year old rising junior who is running a 100m in 13.56 and a 200 meter in 27.56. I have a 3.5-4.0 GPA. I take lots of concurrent college classes that are about science, and I happen to volunteer around my community a lot. As a 14 year old rising Junior,I tend to not be taken very seriously with the rest of my graduating class as I'm seen as Just a baby but, It shows how much I am able to persevere as, I can keep up perfectly with them. I understand what I'm being taught and tend to help others in my grade who happen to be older. I'm very quick minded,a fast learner, and I love to be part of a team; This is a great characteristic when playing sports because, since I have a will to do better and to become better, combined with my ability to be a fast learner and being able to work well with a team, I am very coachable.
Although, I want to run track and play volleyball in college, most likely I would have to pick a main sport which would happen to be track. My goal one day is to compete in college and hopefully make it to the Olympics.I hope you would consider me to either come play volleyball or run track and field at your college.
