After a strong start to my collegiate running career as a freshman, including being named SEC Freshman of the Week and SEC Athlete of the Week and placing third in the 2012 Mountain Dew Invitational, injuries and the nature of the training program at the University of Florida led to frustrating results over the rest of my freshman year and throughout my sophomore year. I was a very accomplished high school runner with multiple county, conference, and state titles, along with several other accolades. I wanted to run in college to improve upon my talent, contribute to a team, and earn an education. While my first two college years have been difficult, I have continued to work hard and never lost sight of my goals. I have decided to transfer from UF and am seeking a school where I can reach my full racing potential while earning a college degree.
