My name is Chanice Harris and I am going on my 5th year as a Track & Field Athlete who is highly enjoying running track. I am looking to major in Psychology as I attend college. My primary events are the 200m with a PR of 25.08 and the 400m with a PR of 57.31. I was also a part of the relay team each year running anchor for the 4x100 and 4x400. I have also ran the 300m with a PR of 40.89 and 100m. I continue to strive to lower my PR and am confident I will do that this year. I have even had the opportunity to train under a former Olympian. I took an interest in track after being a gymnast for 10 years and recognizing my speed when doing vault.
Outside of being a student-athlete, I volunteer on a regular basis whether it is participating in “Feed the Need,” assisting with younger youths or other volunteer opportunities within the community. I currently have a Weighted GPA of 3.23 at the end of my 11th grade year.
I do believe in pushing myself and giving it everything I got regardless of the situation and leaving it all on the track.
