Personal Statement
My first athletic love was competitive Dance and Cheerleading but when I stared competing in track during middle school I feel in love with the sport. Now as an elite athlete in Track & Field, I work hard to be successful whenever I compete (on the track and in the classroom). Although many view the sport on an individual basis, I have learned the importance of being there for my team… having been unable to compete due to injury during the second half of my sophomore high school season in 2021 really impacted me as I watched my team compete.
I was able to recover in time to win the 2021 USATF Jr Olympics (15-16 girls 100H National Champion & All-American 5th in the 400H) during the summer but feel I could have done better if I had more time to train after coming back. During this fall, I have been named to MileSplit Top 50 National Recruits Class of 2023 and cannot wait for my 2022 Junior High School season to start!!!
