Personal Statement

Greetings from Bowdon, Georgia!!! My name is Averi Lowen and I am a freshman (2027) at Bowdon High School. I have been running XC for five years. It has always been my dream to run at the collegiate level. I am extremely driven and am dedicated to becoming the absolute best version of myself in all that I do. I am also passionate about my academics as I understand the value of excelling there as well. I intend to major in pediatric medicine in college.

This year was a historic year for me and Bowdon High School as I became the first female XC runner to win an individual state championship. I logged a time of 20:10 on a very tough state course in Carrollton, Georgia. I intend on qualifying for the 14U National meet on December 9, 2023 in Louisville, Kentucky (USATF).
