Alexa Rossum '19 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name in Alexa Rossum,  and I have been running track since the 7th grade. I realized very early that I had a niche and love for track and field. I am currently a Junior at Buford High School, located in Buford, Ga. The girls track team won their very first State Championship for the school in 2017.  I am currently the 5A State Champion in the 100 and 200m dashes. Our 4X400 relay team, where I ran 3rd leg with a split of 53 sec., won State as well. I would like to compete in the area of track and field on a Division 1 level,  and I also want to go to a school that places a strong emphasis on academics.  I am a hard worker, both on and off the track. I would like to major in Business with a focus on International Business. My dream is to travel the world, and meet people from all walks of life. I feel that being involved in sports (particularly track) has given me the opportunity to travel across the United States and meet other athletes with similar interests as me.  I am coachable, determined and share the passion for competition with my Dad, who played in the NFL for 12 years and ran track in college. I am excited to get this recruiting process started and I am confident that I will be an asset to any University that would allow me to be apart of their team.
