Rylee Evans '22 Recruiting Profile

My name is Rylee Evans, an upcoming junior, attending Woodland High School in Cartersville, Georgia. Ever since I can remember, I have had two goals to run Cross Country/Track and field at a collegiate level and pursue a degree in medicine.

My passion for running dates back to elementary school after running the Pacer Test in PE and coming in first among the girls and boys. During my running career, I have been fortunate to win an individual middle school state title and a team-high school state championship. My cherished memories are not the titles, but the team comradery of coming together to accomplish the one goal we had been striving toward all year.  Being a leader, being a role model, and cheering on my teammates is of utmost importance. After I graduate, it is more meaningful for me to be remembered as a good runner and a good person.

I am passionate about my community, which is why I have chosen to pursue a career in medicine. Therefore, I want to attend a college not only for its strong reputation but its academic standing. I have lofty goals for the future, and I am dedicated to serving those in need. You will not only observe me being tenacious on the field but in the classroom, as well. That is why I have chosen a pathway in school that is not only challenging but engaging.

I will make a good recruit because I am easy to get along with and not afraid to get out of my comfort zone to achieve team and individual success.
